Stacey Fung

Stacey Fung is a Canadian tennis player. She has a career-high singles ranking by the WTA of No 225. She has won 5 ITF titles.

Stacey Fung was born on February 6, 1997, in Hamilton, Bermuda. She started playing tennis as a kid and developed her skills during school. As a junior she won the 2013 National Bank ITF U18, 2014 J60 Edmonton \ Canadian Saville U18 ITF titles and played at the Junior Orange Bowl. Stacey Fung played collegiate tennis for the Washington Huskies at the University of Washington. During her college career, she was crowned an All-American and achieved a career-high individual ranking of No 6 in the country.

Stacey Fung started her professional career already in 2014, debuting at the $10,000 Victoria (Canada), where reached the semi-finals. Although being quite young, she played one more tournament during the season at $10,000 Vancouver (Canada) but dropped out in the first round.

In 2015 and 2016, Stacey Fung again participated in the $10,000 Victoria (Canada) tournament and reached the quarter-finals in both seasons. At that time she was attending to college and played also collegiate tennis.

Stacey Fung returned to professional tennis in 2019, reaching the finals at the $15,000 W15 Cancun (Mexico) and $15,000 W15 Metepec (Mexico), but unfortunately missed winning her first title.

In 2021, Stacey Fung won her first ITF title at the $15,000 W15 Cancun (Mexico), while in the next season, she continued gaining experience and captured four more titles, including again $15,000 W15 Cancun (Mexico) and $25,000 W25 Fredericton (Canada).

In 2023, Stacey Fung continues winning at the ITF Circuit, triumphing with the titles at the $25,000 W25 Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), $40,000 W40 TBILISI (Georgia), and $25,000 W25 Wichita, KS (USA). She also reached the semi-finals at the $25,000 W25 Fredericton (Canada) and the quarter-finals of the $60,000 W60 Sumter, SC (USA) and $60,000 W60 Saskatoon (Canada). During the season she debuted at the WTA Tour main draw, playing at the WTA 1000 Guadalajara Open Akron, but lost to Marta Kostyuk (Ukraine).
