Anastasia Abbagnato is an Italian professional tennis player. She has career-high WTA rankings of No 408 in singles and 188 in doubles. She had one singles and eight doubles titles in the ITF Circuit.
Anastasia Abbagnato was born on November 19, 2003. She was introduced to tennis at the age of five and quickly showed her great talents. In 2012, she reached the quarte-finals of the Torneo U12 Maglie and the third round of the OTI Junior Cup in Antalia. Two years later, she played in the semi-finals of the Torneo U14 Pavia, while in 2018 she played semi-finals at the Bavarian Junior Open and Hungarian Open U16, in 2019 played in the semifinals of the J30 Tirana Tirana Open U18 and J4 Porto Taca Diogo Napoles, and in 2020 was the runner-up at the J4 Palermo Torneo Internazionale Junior “Citta’ di Palermo”.
Anastasia Abbagnato started her professional career in the end of 2019 season at the $15,000 W15 Solarino (Italy), but lost in the first round.
She returned to professional tennis and ITF Circuit again at the end of 2021 season to lose again in the first rounds at the $15,000 W15 Solarino (Italy) and $15,000 W15 Cairo (Egypt).
In 2022, Anastasia Abbagnato played her first ITF final at the $15,000 W15 Cairo (Egypt), but lost to the more experienced local player Sandra Samir, who is her doubles partner. During the season she reached the semi-finals at the $15,000 W15 Solarino (Italy) and the quarter-finals at the $15,000 W15 Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt). In doubles, however, she won the titles at the $15,000 W15 Cairo (Egypt) and $15,000 W15 Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt).
Anastasia Abbagnato won her first singles ITF title in 2023, triumphing at the $15,000 W15 Villena (Spain). Meanwhile, during the season she played the quarter-finals at the $25,000 W25 Selva Gardena (Italy), $25,000 W35 Santa Margherita Di Pula (Italy), $15,000 W15 Fiano Romano (Italy), and $25,000 W35 Trieste (Italy). In doubles, she won the titles at the $15,000 W15 Monastir (Tunisia) and $25,000 W25 Ortisei (Italy).
She made her WTA Tour main-draw debut 2024 at the WTA 1000 Italian Open, her home tournament, where she received a wildcard, partnering Aurora Zantedeschi in women’s doubles. Тhey reached the second round with a win over Linda Noskovа and Lucia Bronzetti. Meanwhile, she won the doubles titles at the $25,000 W35 Trieste (Italy) and $25,000 W35 Santa Margherita di Pula (Italy). In singles, however, she continue playing entirely at the ITF Circuit, being the runner-up at the $25,000 W35 Trieste (Italy), the quarter-finals at the $60,000 W75 Caserta (Italy) and $40,000 W50 Porto+H (Portugal).
Anastasia Abbagnato started the 2025 season strongly by reaching the quarter-finals at the $40,000 W35 Buenos Aires (Argentina) and the semi-finals at the $15,000 W15 Manacor (Spain). In doubles, she triumphed with the $25,000 W35 Buenos Aires (Argentina) title.
